When was the last time you had a really good time at a wedding? For us it was just a week ago and the party started two days before the ceremony and continued on through brunch the following day. My guess is that no one had any trouble falling asleep on Sunday night. We were in Rockport, MA where our guesthouse was right across from the beach you see here at sunset. Elaine and Fred, parents of the bride, were the first to stop by to enjoy a glass of champagne on our front porch and to take in the view. Later we saw Lynn, then Lucy, met up with Pam, Al, and a delightful group of new friends including folks from France and Germany.
The ceremony, held in a beautiful state park with a view out to sea, was followed by an unbelievable party that featured signature cocktails, beers including one brewed by the groom himself, wines, plus hot and cold hors d’oeuvres served on silver platters. The first course was steamed mussels and bowls of clam chowder with a good ‘ole lobster bake not far behind. There was no doubt that we were in New England! Even dessert fit the theme with apple cider donuts.

I think that everyone was especially impressed with the attire of the wedding party. The groomsmen were in navy blue suits while the bridesmaids blue dresses can easily be worn to other events without fear of looking like a prom dress. Even bride Brenna will look stunning in her gown at the next awards ceremony where she will be the proud recipient, I’m sure.
Good luck Brenna and Eric, congratulations Elaine and Fred, and thanks to all of you for a fantastic party! By the way, I hear that the south of France is a wonderful honeymoon spot….
Ahhhh, what a terrific Wedding indeed! We want to go back to Rockport already! While I didn’t make it to your porch, you made if to ours….and then being seated with you and Bill at the wedding was the best! I’m also ecstatic to have been named in this post. Makes me feel like a celebrity. Cheers! ~Pam

Like Pam, I too feel like a celebrity with a mention in the famous “Letsliveinfrance” blog. The weekend, the wedding, and the reception were indeed wonderful in beautiful Rockport. But, equally pleasurable was meeting and spending time with Bill and Bob! The evening conversations and the libations on ‘our’ front porch were particularly fun. Thank you both. I hope it is not the last time we meet. Best wishes, Al

What a treat to have you both in Rockport for our wedding. It feels like yesterday that you were teaching the elementary school version of me to type and use the Internet. I feel lucky that we get to see you still, despite so many miles and years. It is a gift to be surrounded by family and friends- especially couples like you and Bill- whose marriage exudes fun and adventure. Eric and I are so glad you were there and are happy to know that you enjoyed the party!

Brenna, we were honored to be invited and were so happy to be able to spend some time with your family and friends. We hope you and Eric will find a little vacation time to come to France once we have settled in. We know you have other friends there who would love to see you again!
