Many of you will know by now that our wonderful dog, Heather, died this morning. She got us safely to France and has now sent us on our way. We’ve spent most of the day, laughing and crying, reminiscing the 13 years we had together with her. Tonight we’ll be opening a bottle of the local sparkling wine to celebrate her life. As the French say when raising a glass, Santé, Heather!
OH my dears! My deepest condolences….I am so very sad that Heather passed. Big hugs and I would cry with you if I were there. Sincerely, Sue and Michael

So sorry for your loss — you put so much effort into making it possible for Heather to be with you in France, and now this…

Oh my goodness, there are no words, I am in tears, I have spent hours reading your blog and feel like I know Heather!! I am so glad she got to enjoy France with you all and I am so sorry for the loss I know you will forever feel.
We are also leaving from Atlanta and it agonizes me to think I am “checking” my Cole as luggage. I really can’t find much info on the logistics. I have the crate, he has his appointment for the USDA, it is the actually taking him to the airport and seeing that he gets on and off that plane that I can’t find info on.
I did not see a post about her actual flight experience. If you have any words of wisdom that would be wonderful but if you prefer not to revisit it I more than understand. Melissa
